All About Me

My name is Karen Graham I am married to Matt and we have four wonderful children, three girls and a boy with 5 and a half years between them all.

Being a childminder is a job that I really enjoy, its rewarding, fulfilling and above all works well for my children and our family as a whole.

Before having my own children I worked in MKC (Milton Keynes Council) Day Nurseries (since 1990) and I was the Manager of my last setting. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to have my daughter at work with me, so I took the decision to combine motherhood and my job, a decision that I have no regrets about. I have been childminding since October 2007.

I offer Free Early Education places for 3 and 4 year old children, up to 15 hours a week during term time (38 weeks per year). I also offer Free Early Education and Childcare for 2 year olds, whose families are eligible. Up to 10 hours a week during term time (38 weeks per year). Please contact me for further details.

I am Ofsted registered (Outstanding 2014/2015) and a member of the PACEY (The Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years) and I am fully covered by public liability insurance. Matt (Childminding assistant) and I both have Enhanced CRB checks and up to date First Aid Certificates. I have a current Food Hygiene Certificate and I have a 5 star Food Hygiene rating.

I am qualified to level 5 and have a Degree in Early Years. I have extensive knowledge and understanding of childcare practice and the paperwork that goes with it. I have been a SENCO in my previous job and have experience with children with special needs and learning difficulties.
